Bangladesh, Sept. 27 -- The Ministry of Education has directed all educational institutions across the country to install rooftop solar power systems at suitable locations to help achieve the government's target for on-grid solar generation.

The Secondary and Higher Education Division issued the directive in an order sent to the concerned parties on September 23.

The order said the move followed a circular issued by the Cabinet Division to ensure greater use of solar power in government offices. The Power Division has subsequently set a target for on-grid solar power generation.
