Bangladesh, July 13 -- Deputy Speaker of the National Parliament Barrister Kaiser Kamal has called upon Members of Parliament to play a more effective and people-oriented role in implementing the commitments of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD).

He made this call while presiding over an awareness workshop titled 'Parliament's Role in Realising SDGs and ICPD Commitments,' held at the National Parliament on Sunday.
