Bangladesh, Sept. 8 -- The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) rebounded as bargain hunters stepped in to buy beaten-down stocks at attractive prices,helping the benchmark index recover from an intra-day fall of nearly 70points and close in positive territory on Monday.

The DSEX, broad index of the DSE, gained 9.0 points to settle at 5,567points, compared with 5,558 points in the previous trading session.

The market witnessed volatile trading throughout the session, withintensified selling pressure in the middle of the session pushing the DSEX below the 5,500-point mark.
