Bangladesh, Oct. 1 -- Long-haul buses operating from Sayedabad Bus Terminal will soon be shifted to the under-construction Kanchpur terminal as part of a plan to ease traffic congestion and bring greater order to Dhaka's public transport system, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Administrator Md Abdus Salam said on Wednesday.

The DSCC administrator disclosed the plan after inspecting the ongoing construction work at the Kanchpur Bus Terminal on Wednesday.

Narayanganj-3 MP Azharul Islam Mannan, along with project officials and engineers, was present during the inspection.

Abdus Salam said the terminal was being developed to implement the Prime Minister's directive on modernising Dhaka's traffic system.
