DSCC orders crackdown on mosquito breeding
Bangladesh, Sept. 8 -- Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Administrator Abdus Salam has ordered officials to intensify and coordinate mosquito-control activities, stressing the destruction of breeding grounds alongside larviciding, fogging and cleanliness drives.
The directive came at a review meeting on strengthening mosquito-control activities at Nagar Bhaban auditorium on Monday.
The meeting discussed identifying and destroying mosquito breeding grounds across the city, closer monitoring of field-level operations and stronger coordination among different DSCC departments.
Abdus Salam said spraying insecticides alone would not be enough to control mosquitoes.
