Bangladesh, Sept. 12 -- Residents of Hossainpur in Kishoreganj are facing daily hardship as a nearly one-kilometre road has remained in a dilapidated condition for years.

The road stretches from the Hossainpur-Kishoreganj road through Dhanakura Haji E Khalek Government Primary School to Kamarpara in Hossainpur upazila.

During a recent field visit, it was found that the road has developed cracks, potholes and uneven sections at several points due to a lack of repairs for a long time. Farmers, traders, students and other local residents are forced to use the road despite the difficulties.

Araibaria Union Parishad Chairman Md Khushid Uddin said he had inspected the road and was aware of its poor condition.
