Bangladesh, July 30 -- Police have arrested Mobarak Hossain Emon, also known as David Emon, an alleged top criminal in Chattogram, along with five associates in Jashore on Wednesday morning.

Chattogram District Police Superintendent (SP) Masud Alam confirmed the arrest, saying the group included individuals involved in armed activities.Law Enforcement

"Top terror Emon was detained along with his other five associates. All of them are shooters," the SP said.

Police said Emon is a close associate of Sajjad Ali, alias Boro Sajjad, an alleged criminal who is currently absconding abroad. According to police records, Emon faces at least seven cases, including charges related to murder, extortion and intimidation.
