Bangladesh, Oct. 16 -- Kishoreganj district police constable has been suspended from service as the dope test confirmed positive.

The constable Osman Gani, son of Abdul Quddes, is a resident of Sahabeliswar village in Dhamrai upazila of Dhaka district. He had been serving as a driver constable in Kishoreganj district police for a long time.

Confirming the information on Tuesday, Md Mizanur Rahman, superintendent of police (SP) said that action had been taken against the constable after his dope test returned positive.

"The police have a zero-tolerance policy against drugs consumption, which applies equally to police personnel. Therefore, we conducted our action against drugs consumption," he said.
