Bangladesh, July 21 -- Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor Dr Shahadat Hossain on Monday directed officials to immediately repair roads damaged by the recent record rainfall to reduce public suffering and restore smooth traffic movement across the city.

He issued the directive at a review meeting held at the CCC office in Tigerpass to assess the progress of road repairs, cleanliness, and urban development activities following the recent heavy rains.

During the meeting, the mayor sought an update from Chief Engineer Anisur Rahman on the condition of roads damaged by the rainfall.

The chief engineer briefed the meeting on the extent of the damage across different parts of the city and outlined the proposed repair plan.
