Bangladesh, July 13 -- Despite years of digitalisation and repeated pledges to improve transparency, the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) continues to face widespread allegations of corruption, bribery and the influence of broker syndicates, according to recent investigations and survey findings.Geographic Reference
Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) and the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics' Citizen Perception Survey rank BRTA as the country's second most corrupt public service institution and the sector with the highest incidence of bribery.
