Bangladesh, Nov. 5 -- A police sub-inspector was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head at a police camp in Ashuganj, Brahmanbaria, on Wednesday morning.

The deceased, Jahangir Hossain Talukder, 52, was in charge of the Ashuganj Fertiliser Factory police camp.

Police said he was found in his room at the camp around 7:30am with a gunshot wound to the head.

He was on duty at the time, and his service pistol was reportedly used in the incident.

Family discord is initially suspected to have been a factor, although the exact reason behind his death remains unknown, police said.
