Bangladesh, March 11 -- Farmers in Rampal area under Bagerhat district are expecting a good harvest in the current season despite severe salinity.

The Agriculture Department believes that due to favourable weather conditions, timely planting, and monitoring by the Agriculture Department, there is a possibility of a good harvest.

According to Rampal Upazila Agriculture Office, the target for Boro paddy cultivation this year was set at 4,900 hectares of hybrids and 810 hectares of Ufshi variety have been planted with Boro paddy.
