India, July 25 -- Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Friday said it had thwarted an alleged attempt by India's Border Security Force (BSF) to push eight people into Bangladesh through the Kushtia border.Bangladesh Business Analysis
The incident, according to a BGB, occurred at around 5:10 am in the area adjacent to border pillar 152/1-S under the jurisdiction of the Joypur Border Outpost (BOP) of Kushtia Battalion (47 BGB).
BGB claimed that members of the BSF's 146 Battalion from the Char Meghna camp attempted to send eight unidentified individuals into Bangladesh by making them swim across the river.
The group comprised two men, four women and two transgender persons.
