The energy regulator announced the decision in a press release on Tuesday, saying the price adjustment was made following a review of international fuel prices and movements in the exchange rate.
According to BERC, the revision was made under the provisions of the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission Act, 2003, after considering proposals submitted by the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) and the country's state-owned oil marketing companies.
