Bangladesh, March 7 -- The Ministry of Women and Children Affairs will confer the 'Best Indomitable Woman in Advancing Democracy (Gonotantra er Ogrojatray Sreshtho Odommo Nari)' award on Begum Khaleda Zia.

It will be given to her under the Indomitable Women Award programme marking International Women's Day 2026. News BSS

The award will be handed over at a function to be held at Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital on March 8 as part of the International Women's Day celebrations.

Khaleda Zia is being honoured in recognition of her indomitable leadership in the restoration of democracy through uncompromising struggle and her outstanding contributions to upholding the democratic process in the country.
