Bangladesh, Sept. 29 -- Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman has called for coordinated efforts and stronger legal and institutional mechanisms to combat human trafficking, forced labour and migrant smuggling.
"Bangladesh is committed to ensuring that economic integration and global labour mobility take place with full respect for workers' and human rights and that effective protection against exploitation is ensured," he said.
Asaduzzaman made the remarks while participating as a panellist in a high-level thematic discussion titled "From Source to Shelf: Combating Human Trafficking in Global Supply Chains" in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
