Bangladesh, Nov. 1 -- The Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) has provided free medical services and distributed essential medicines among 133 people in the coastal and riverbank areas of Joymonirghol in Mongla Upazila of Bagerhat.

The medical campaign was held on Saturday at Joymonirghol Government Primary School under the initiative of Coast Guard Base Mongla. The programme ran from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujon disclosed the information to the media on Saturday.

He said the Bangladesh Coast Guard regularly conducts various humanitarian activities for the welfare of people living in coastal and riverbank areas.
