Bangladesh, Sept. 16 -- Several fast bowlers for the Bangladesh national team have emerged through the 'Pacer Hunt' program.

Among them are Rubel Hossain, Shafiul Islam, and Ebadot Hossain. Many other fast bowlers have also been discovered thanks to this BCB initiative.

The process of scouting for fast-bowling talent had been suspended for the past few years.

It's now restarting-this time on a much larger scale. The initiative was inaugurated at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka on Tuesday.

For the first time in the country's history, a nationwide "spin hunt"-alongside the usual pacer hunt will be held. Female bowlers also having the opportunity to participate.
