Bangladesh, April 6 -- Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Litton Das's captaincy terms have been extended.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to keep Mehidy Hasan Miraz as the captain of the Bangladesh ODI team until 2027.

Similarly, Litton Das will also lead the Bangladesh T20I team until the 2028 World Cup.

The announcement was made after a board meeting of BCB was held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital's Mirpur on Saturday.

Miraz, who was given the captaincy on a one-year contract in June last year, has been able to satisfy the BCB by winning two consecutive home series against the West Indies and Pakistan.

That is why the BCB has decided to keep him in charge for the long term.
