Bangladesh, April 10 -- Bangladesh U-19 Boys' team won the gold medal by becoming the group champion in the South Asian Youth Table Tennis (TT) Championship.

With this achievement, the team has qualified to participate in the ITTF-ATTU Asian Youth Championship to be held in Muscat, the capital of Oman, from June 21-27.

The competitions are being held in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India from April 8-11, Bangladesh defeated the powerful Sri Lanka 3-1 to become the group champion and secure the gold medal.
