Bangladesh, Oct. 5 -- Agriculture Ministry Joint Secretary Maksuda Yasmin visited proposed sites in Munshiganj on October 1 to assess activities planned under the fourth phase of the Greater Dhaka Irrigation Area Development project.

The visit covered proposed activities in Munshiganj Sadar, Louhajang and Sirajdikhan upazilas under the project, which the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) plans to implement, according to a press release.

The inspection formed part of efforts to assess the rationale and feasibility of the proposed activities before the project is approved, while prioritising farmers' needs.
