Under intense pressure, the Australian Prime Minister issued a one-line official statement on Monday morning, saying, "I apologise unequivocally and unconditionally for my statements."

Last week, Albanese was interviewed for comedian Nicky Osborne's 'Bush Deep' podcast at the Australian Prime Minister's official residence in Canberra.
