Aman cultivation target surpasses in Madhukhali
Bangladesh, Oct. 6 -- Transplanted Aman cultivation has surpassed the target in Faridpur's Madhukhali Upazila this year. According to the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), the cultivation target for the current season was exceeded across the upazila's 11 unions and one municipality.
Last year (2025-26 fiscal year), transplanted Aman was cultivated on 8,610 hectares of land.
For the current 2026-27 fiscal year, the target was set at 8,660 hectares. However, cultivation actually took place on 8,690 hectares, exceeding the target by 30 hectares. Meanwhile, farmers are optimistic about a good yield this year.
