Bangladesh, July 12 -- The Cyber Crime Unit of the 3rd Armed Police Battalion (APBn), Khulna, has arrested a young man accused of operating an online fraud scheme that allegedly deceived customers through fake product advertisements on Facebook.Crime & Justice
The suspect, Sourav Sheikh, 22, a resident of Kalia village in Bagerhat Sadar upazila, was arrested from his residence during a raid conducted on Thursday.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Additional DIG M M Salahuddin, Commanding Officer of the 3rd APBn. During the raid, police seized two mobile phones allegedly used in the fraud, seven SIM cards three loose and four inserted in the seized handsets-and Tk 3,900 in cash.
