Bangladesh, June 17 -- Police fell victim to an attack while attempting to apprehend criminals involved in a robbery where a shop was entered at knifepoint in Adabor, Dhaka.
During a raid on the snatchers' hideout, Adabor Police Station's Officer-in-Charge Md. Zahidul Islam and Sub-Inspector (SI) Tarun were seriously injured by sharp cleaver blows from the snatchers.
The attack took place on Tuesday afternoon at the snatchers' hideout behind Delta Garments in Adabor.
At that time, police fired back in self-defense and to bring the situation under control, leaving one snatcher shot.
Four people have been detained from the scene and police are reportedly still present at the location.
