Bangladesh, April 4 -- This information was given in a press release sent by RAB-9 on Friday (April 3).

The release said that for a long time, a fraud ring had been communicating with various people by opening fake Facebook IDs and WhatsApp accounts using the identity of high-ranking government officials. They used to embezzle money by luring them with jobs, transfers and promotions.

Based on intelligence information, a raid was conducted at a house in Kazitula area of Sylhet city at 10:50 pm on Thursday (April 2), and the mastermind of the fraud, Kamrul Hasan Himel (32), was arrested.
