Bangladesh, July 30 -- The Ministry of Public Administration has withdrawn Assistant Commissioner (Land) Shaon Majumder Sumon from his post following allegations that a forged semi-official letter bearing the name of the deputy speaker was used to seek improper benefits.
The decision was announced in a ministry notification issued on Monday, July 27.
Shaon Majumder, who was serving at the Rangabali Upazila Land Office in Patuakhali, has been attached to the Ministry of Public Administration with immediate effect.
The notification said the order was issued in the public interest under a presidential directive.
