Bangladesh, Sept. 19 -- Defending runners-up Abahani Limited kicked-off the new Bangladesh Football League season with a draw. On Friday, at the Shaheed Miraj-Tapan Stadium in Manikganj, they played out a goalless draw against PWD Sports Club.

On the same day, Fortis FC routed newcomers Chattogram City Football Club 6-0 at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka.

Pa Omar of Fortis FC scored 47th, and 87th minutes and his teammate Akada netted 52nd, 77th minutes and their teammates Ibrahim and Rafael Tudu scored in the 79th and 82 minutes respectively.

At Gopalganj District Stadium, Brothers Union suffered a 3-0 defeat to newcomers City Club. Enamul, Okafor and Rafiqul scored one goal each for City Club.
