A 350-year-old heritage landmark of Kaliganj
Bangladesh, Aug. 9 -- Tucked away in Nagari of Gazipur's Kaliganj, a nearly 350-year-old church continues to tell stories of faith, colonial-era encounters, architecture and the evolution of Bengali-language learning.
St Nicholas Church, also known as St Nicholas of Tolentino Church, was established in 1663 and is regarded as one of the oldest Christian places of worship in Bangladesh. Beyond its religious significance, the historic church is considered an important part of Kaliganj's architectural and cultural heritage.
