Bangladesh, Sept. 10 -- A total of 385 kg of fish fry was released in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj on Wednesday to increase fish resources and enhance the productivity of water bodies.

The fish fry release programme was organised by the Shibganj Upazila Fisheries Office at a pond adjacent to Tahakhana.

The programme was chaired by Shibganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mazharul Islam. District Fisheries Officer Shahinur Rahman, Upazila Fisheries Officer Sanjoy Kumar Sarker, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Mizanur Rahman, Upazila Agriculture Officer Nayan Mia, Tahakhana Alia Madrasa Superintendent Maulana Mamun Ur Rashid, local public representatives, community leaders and fishers were present.
