Bangladesh, Aug. 9 -- Three people were killed and 12 others injured in a road accident on the Bonpara-Hatikumrul highway in Nayabazar Talbaria area under Gurudaspur upazila of the district this morning.
Officer-in-Charge of Bonpara Highway Police Station Mohammad Moniruzzaman said a group of cattle traders was travelling to the Chandaikona cattle market in Sirajganj district in a cattle-laden three-wheeler when it collided head-on with a passenger bus coming from the opposite direction.
Akkas Ali, 63, his brother Jahangir Alam, 42, sons of Arshad Ali of Dhamania village in Baraigram upazila and cattle trader Abdur Rahman, 70, son of late Sher Ali Sardar of Laxmipur Paglabazar area of the same upazila.
