Bangladesh, June 30 -- A total of 243 students have cancelled their admissions at Comilla University over the past five academic sessions, according to university data.

The withdrawals, many of which occurred after academic activities had already begun, left a significant number of seats vacant as the university had no opportunity to fill them.

According to data obtained from the Academic Section of the Registrar's Office, the highest number of cancellations was recorded in the 2022-23 academic session, when 77 students withdrew, while the lowest number was in 2020-21, with 25 students.

The figures stood at 43 in 2021-22, 47 in 2023-24, and 51 in 2024-25.
