Bangladesh, Oct. 26 -- Members of Special Response Battalion (SRB) recovered 1.670 kilograms (KGs) of heroin in an abandoned condition in Godagari, Rajshahi.

An operation was carried out in the Amtola Char Ashariadaha area of the upazila early Sunday. The information was confirmed in a press release.

The press release stated that based on secret information, 1.670-kg of heroin was recovered in an abandoned condition inside a bag in a cropland in Amtola Char.

The recovered heroin has been handed over to the concerned police station with a general diary (GD) for legal action.
