Bangladesh, June 25 -- The government's aims to transform Bangladesh into a more investment-friendly and employment-oriented economy, Commerce Minister Khandakar Abdul Muktadir said.

"To achieve this goal, the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) sector is being given the highest priority," he said at a workshop titled "National Budget 2026-27: Expectations and Achievements of the SME Sector" organised by the Economic Reporters' Forum (ERF) in the capital on Wednesday.
