City residents should remain aware and refrain from throwing waste into canals and drains said Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor Dr Shahadat Hossain.

The Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) has continued excavation and cleaning activities in various canals across the city to address waterlogging and keep the drainage system operational.

While inspecting the canal excavation work, the mayor said, "To free Chattogram from the curse of waterlogging, we are implementing a comprehensive programme to restore and activate the city's canals and drainage network.
