'Bangladesh would have become Sikkim if fascists stayed'
Bangladesh, Sept. 15 -- Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M. Rashiduzzaman Millat has said that Bangladesh would have become like Sikkim if the "fascists" had remained in power for another two or three years.
"We should learn from the way the fascist government fled to India, along with former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and all her cabinet members, because of their repression and misdeeds," he said.
"If we fail to learn from this, our future will be very bleak," he made the remarks as the chief guest at a meeting of the Sherpur District Law and Order Committee on Sunday.
He alleged that during the "fascist" government's tenure, officials of all government offices were controlled and made to work according to its directives.
