Anantnag, April 19 -- A young man from Qazigund area lost his life after sustaining injuries in a tragic accident at the Fruit and Vegetable Mandi in Ashajipora, triggering allegations of medical negligence and demands for a probe.

The deceased has been identified as Bilal Ahmad Mir, son of Late Ab. Rehman Mir, a resident of Yarhole Baihama in Qazigund.

According to reports, Bilal was critically injured in an accident near Ashajipora and was immediately shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for treatment.

Family members alleged that despite his critical condition, there was a lack of timely medical attention at the hospital.
