KULGAM, April 9 -- Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday said Pakistan played a significant role in securing a ceasefire between Iran and the US, helping avert large-scale devastation, while voicing concern over escalating tensions in West Asia.
Addressing party workers in Kulgam, the PDP president said it was "difficult for many to even mention Pakistan," but credited it for facilitating the ceasefire. She, however, expressed uncertainty over how long the truce would hold, cautioning that actions by Israel could disrupt fragile peace efforts.
