Kulgam, April 8 -- Acting tough against violations of drug control norms, police in south Kashmir's Kulgam district conducted inspections in the Devsar area and sealed two medical shops for irregularities related to scheduled/NRX drugs.
Officials said the inspections were carried out by police teams from Police Station Devsar in coordination with the Drug Controller.
During the drive, two shops were found violating mandatory norms regarding maintenance of records of NRX drugs, raising concerns over possible misuse and diversion.
The sealed establishments include Irfan Medical Store and Alshafa Medical Store. Both were found involved in non-maintenance of mandatory records, violating provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
