Anantnag, April 8 -- Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anantnag, Amod Ashok Nagpure (IPS), on Wednesday assumed charge and outlined his priorities, placing a strong emphasis on eradicating the drug menace from the district.

Speaking to reporters, SSP Amod said that one of his top priorities would be to act tough against drug peddling and work towards making Anantnag a drug-free district.

He said that substance abuse has severely impacted the younger generation and requires collective efforts to combat.
