Srinagar, May 15 -- Srinagar- A woman was killed while trying to prevent the alleged abduction of her 15-year-old daughter in Kechpuran area of Khansahib, with police solving the blind murder and kidnapping case within 12 hours and rescuing the minor girl safely, officials said.

Officials said that Police Station Khansahib received information during the intervening night about an accident at Chek Sheera, where an unknown vehicle had allegedly run over a woman pedestrian, resulting in her death, reported news agency KNO.

A police official said the deceased woman was shifted to District Hospital Budgam, where doctors declared her brought dead.
