Srinagar, Sept. 29 -- Srinagar- A woman died after reportedly falling unconscious following a scuffle with her daughter-in-law in the Banibagh Cherwan area of Kangan in Central Kashmir's Ganderbal district on Monday.

According to preliminary information, an altercation broke out between the two family members at their residence. During the incident, the mother-in-law reportedly fell unconscious at the spot.

She was subsequently shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Kangan, where doctors declared her brought dead.

Following the incident, a police team from Kangan reached the spot and took the body into custody. Police have initiated further investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the woman's death.
