Srinagar, Aug. 30 -- Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir is likely to experience widespread rainfall and thunderstorms over the next two days, with weather activity expected to gradually ease from September 2, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The Meteorological Centre, Srinagar, in its latest bulletin, forecast fairly widespread rain in Kashmir and widespread rain in Jammu on Sunday, while widespread light to moderate rain and thunderstorms are expected across both divisions on September 1.

The weather office has also warned of isolated thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds reaching 30-40 kmph in Kashmir on August 31 and September 1.
