Srinagar, June 12 -- Are homemakers economically invisible?

In a landmark ruling, the Supreme Court of India described homemakers as "nation builders" and recognised the immense value of unpaid domestic and caregiving work. This report explores the case, the data, and the larger debate around unpaid care work, women's economic participation, and the true value of work beyond a paycheck.
