Srinagar, Aug. 21 -- New Delhi - India on Friday took pot shot at Pakistan for summoning the top US diplomat in Islamabad over comments by US Ambassador to New Delhi Sergio Gor affirming that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India.

"I see no reason to comment on Pakistan's frustration," said External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal.

Gor, during his visit to Jammu and Kashmir, said on Wednesday that the Union territory is an important part of India.

Hours after his remarks, Pakistan's Foreign Office summoned the US Charge d'Affaires in Islamabad and lodged a "strong demarche" over the comments made by Gor, who is also the Trump administration's Special Envoy to South and Central Asia.
