Srinagar, July 5 -- Srinagar- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday urged unregistered pilgrims undertaking the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra to remain patient and wait for their turn, saying the daily pilgrim caps at Chandanwari and Baltal were fixed and could not be increased.

"We are seeing a large influx of unregistered pilgrims. I strongly urge those without prior registration to remain patient and wait for their turn," Sinha told reporters during a visit to Chandanwari.

He said adherence to the prescribed protocols was essential for the safety of pilgrims and the smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.
