Srinagar, Aug. 19 -- Jammu- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday called upon universities to transform students into creators of opportunities rather than mere job seekers, stressing the need to focus on research, innovation and solutions to real-world problems.

Addressing the 23rd Foundation Day celebrations of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Sinha said educational institutions must rethink their approach and focus on the challenges facing society.

"We must change the mindset to ask not 'What should we teach?' but 'What problems must we solve?'" he said.
