Srinagar Records Season's Second Hottest Day at 35.2degC
Srinagar, June 30 -- Srinagar- Srinagar recorded the season's second hottest day on Tuesday as the mercury touched 35.2degC amid continuing heatwave conditions across the Kashmir Valley, the Meteorological Centre said.
An official of the MeT Centre Srinagar said that a shift in weather has been forecast, with rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds expected over the next few days across Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the latest nowcast, spells of rain and thundershowers are likely at many places in Poonch, Rajouri, Shopian, Budgam and Kulgam in the next three hours. A few places along the Reasi-Banihal-Ramban axis, Gulmarg, Uri and Sonamarg may also receive rainfall.
