Srinagar, April 17 -- Srinagar- A court here has discharged nine accused persons in a nearly three decade-old alleged loan scam linked to the Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB).
The Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar, Ms. Tabasum, passed the order while considering charges in case (FIR No. 02/2001) registered by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for offences under Sections 409, 468, 419 and 120-B of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC).
The matter was initially tried before the Special Judge Anti-Corruption Court here because offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act were also alleged against certain public servants.
