Srinagar, May 11 -- Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday hailed the Somnath Temple as a symbol of India's "unbroken faith and unyielding resolve," saying the shrine had survived repeated invasions and destruction to emerge as a beacon of national and spiritual resurgence.

Addressing a public gathering during the "Somnath Swabhiman Parv" celebrations at Lok Bhavan in Srinagar, Sinha said the temple represented the endurance of India's civilizational identity and continued to inspire the country's aspirations.
